get a copy of apollo.zip This is a 'digital delay program' It only
works at 8 bit sampling resolution and so is a bit 'grungey' but it has
various settings and can produce some quite groovy delay/reverb/echo
effects on a sound source.
You can find it on any of the ultrasound software sites in subdirectory

upgraded from Win. f. Wg 3.11 with drivers installed and it continued
work.

Hi Emory and all,

I can certainly understand your concerns.
First off, there are 1200+ different sounds on the two CDs and they are vary
greatly. There is all kinds of stuff on there. So they are not replacements
for the GM set per se. There are certainly a lot of patches that are GM sounds
though.
You've probably heard some of Francois Dion's stuff, especially the drum
patches that are publicly available. These versions are improved from those -
cleaned up a bit and tweeked according to Francois, but in any case that gives
you an idea of a fraction of the Vol. 1 sounds.
And if you've come across any of the Pure Energy samples (like WILLOW.PAT)
than you have an idea of the quality of the synth patches on Vol. 2.
However...
I need to find a way to let you folks here these patches. They are very large
to upload. And you could only hear a fraction of them that way.
The best alternative to me seems to be the production of an audio tape, or a
phone-in system that would let you hear a variety of sounds. As we release the
patches in more formats we could justify the production of such a tape.
Would you guys pay $5.00 for a sample tape? (the $5.00 would be redeemed if
you purchased the CDs).

I think that's a very good idea, I was interested in the patch CD-ROM too but
I would never buy it without having heard at least 5-10% of the patches
considering how much it costs. So an upload of some patches representative of
the CD-ROM contents would be very welcome (I think they would increase sales
a lot if the patches on the CD are really good...).
Cheers, Arne

Subject: Computer Music bibliography
There is a bibliography on synthesizers, midi, computer and electronic
music that I have collected from various sources. I have tried to bring
some structure into it, but not all books will fit into a single subject.
NOTE: I haven't read these books, and the comments are from other people.
